One of the top brands out there today is the Cuisinart pressure cooker.  The CPC-600 is a 6-Quart electric pressure cooker with a lot of nice features and it is built to last through many years of cooking.  It has a nice digital thermostat with some preset functions for different levels of cooking.  It has low and high pressure, browning, simmering, keep warm, and saute modes.  These are really great options to have so you can fine tune your cooking.

It is non-stick and both the pot and trivet are dishwasher safe.  I really like the stay cool handles as well, it's a nice touch I think.  Another nice thing is the safety features.  The lid has to be locked in place before pressure will start building up.  It also stays locked until the pressure is released.  Safety if paramount when cooking like this.

I also like the looks of this one as well.  It is a stainless steel pressure cooker so it is very attractive.  And the finish is brushed to make it fingerprint proof - how cool is that!

This is definitely one of the best units on the market today.

The Fagor pressure cooker line is another top manufacturer on the market today. They are well built and have some great features. They have two very popular models that people seem to just love. The Fagor 3-in-1 6-Quart Multi-Cooker and their standard 6-Quart stainless steel pressure cooker. Both are excellent choices and cost about the same.

I'd say the Fagor 3 in 1 Multi-Cooker is the favorite of the two units. It can function as a rice cooker and slow cooker as well as an electric pressure cooker. It has a self locking lid as well as an automatic pressure release with two valves. The 8 hour delay timer, LED display, and overheat protection make this unit a well rounded winner.

Their standard 6-QT pressure cooker is a great unit as well, and comes with a lot of the same functionality. Including the self locking lid with auto pressure release, the 8 hour delay timer, nice LED screen and soft touch controls. You won't be disappointed with this model.
